We call it "life"


This has got to be seen to be believed! The Competitive Enterprise Institute has produced two ads that are pro-carbon dioxide. That in itself isn't particularly odd. What *is* odd is that these ads may as well be spoofs from Saturday Night Live. Seriously.

Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) is funded by Exxon and other companies in the oil or automotive industry. It is the typical example of the "think tank" whose only purpose is to collect fat amounts of money from multinationals and misinform people to allow said multinationals to maintain their profits even if at the expense of people, our planet and truth.

A disgusting lack of intellectual honesty, in line with an attitude by which evidence is denied or downplayed or "fixed around policies".

Exxon Mobil Corporation is a "major donor" to CEI, with over $1.6 million in contributions between 1998 and 2005. This actually makes me immediately think of those Troy McClure films shown in the Simpsons like "Bovine University." I wonder if they got the idea from the Simpsons....
