Giovanni Sollima - Sogno ad Occhi Aperti (Daydream)
Norwegian video artist (and YouTube star) Lasse Gjertsen has been working for 5 months on a collaboration with Italian cellist and composer Giovanni Sollima. The first video features the composition "Terra Aria" and the second, "Concerto Rotondo."
The music is fairly straight ahead, influenced by popular music. However, Gjertsen picked up on some of the salient musical features and highlighted them....for example the multiple contrapuntal lines. The videos are really stunning - I highly recommend them!
